Replique
The Challenge
Replique – a subsidiary of BASF and an end-to-end digital inventory platform for 3D printing – supports the industry with on-demand production of certified components. Replique was looking for a solution to provide its customers with traceable parts with authenticating part markings and digital process documentation.
Our solution
Additive Marking Serializer
API connectivity connected our serializer to Replique’s platform, allowing users to access our software and tag digital component files as needed. No data is stored in the Additive Marking Suite: instead, the part is temporarily loaded into our editor and then exported back into Replique’s system. This allows users to edit and manage marker content without storing data outside of the Replique platform, providing additional security when transferring digital files.
Types of direct part marking that can be used as integrated parts through our Additive Marking Suite include machine-readable, human-readable and graphics-based labels. Additionally, GS1 codes can be incorporated into parts to improve part identification and demonstrate compliance with relevant standards.
Additionally, by incorporating a machine-readable code into parts, information about the parts’ production can be viewed by the end user by scanning with our DPM Scan Pro. Accessible information may include compliance certification, material composition, production order number, and other key data required by the customer. Even without the machine-readable marking.
Overall, the combination of Serializer and DPM Scan Pro provides Replique customers with compliant and uniquely identifiable parts for whatever application they intend. The seamless integration of the two systems enables seamless and secure delivery of on-demand 3D printed parts.
